Olga Lynne Ellis was born March 22, 1922 in the parish of St. Mary, Jamaica W.I. to George and Edna Benbow.
She grew up and was schooled at Preston Elementary School where she graduated. In pursuit of furthering her education, she went to live in Kingston and attend the Kingston Technical High School where she pursued Home Economics and Fashion Designing. She excelled in Fashion Designing and subsequently she made many brides happy.
She migrated to England in the 1960s where she met and married her late husband David Ellis. She then returned to Jamaica in 1965 and resided at 25 St. John’s Road Spanish Town. She attended the Hampton Green Gospel Chapel and was a faithful member. There she taught Sunday school and counseled the young people. She eventually migrated to the U.S. where she pursued a Home Health Aid course and continued in that field until she retired.
Olga was devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, and friend. She is survived by:
1 Sister, 1 Brother, 3 Children, 5 Grandchildren, 1 Great Grandchild, Nephews, Nieces and Friends.
